DescriptionIreland was a tremendous cartoonist in the Columbus, Ohio area. He had opportunities to gain more national stature like some of his colleagues, but opted to stay in the area he loved. It's lucky for us, as he wound up mentoring both Caniff and Sickles. Who knows what might've happened if he left the area? 1925.Social/Sharing |
