Description
A Roger Dean very rare huge painting!

Dean is worldwide known for his astounding Covers for many Rock Bands, from the Sixties to the Nineties, such as YES, URIAH HEEP, GREENSLADE, OSIBISA, ASIA, PALADIN etc... His famous Rock Posters of the 70's are nowadays precious collector's items. It is extremely rare to find out something for sale by him. Almost impossible! Mainly because he doesn't want to sell! I was very lucky, more than ten years ago now, to purchase this beauty. Done entirely in Mixed Media (mostly Acrylics with Enamel) on large Board. My poor photo doesn't capture the brilliant colors and light of this Artwork!

The large painting (approximately 31 x 23 inches!) is framed signed and published, it was originally created in 1972, and then retouched by Dean himself before publishing, and it shows "The Black Bat" piloted by his weird armored Warrior , a sort of fantastic plane invented by Dean, which later on became the official logo for his famous Dragon's Dream Art books. Nothing like this is viewable on CAF, on Illustration Exchange, or everywhere else... worldwide !!!

Please, feel free to ask me privately for purchase details & conditions.

I was just about to comment on the fact that you don't see much of Roger's art out there and then read the discription. No wonder it never surfaces! Congrats on being one of the few that did manage to land one!
