The way Tim moves the eye to the blood splatter, but lets it happen outside the frame, adds something special to this one.

Wow! What a killer Wolverine/Gambit splash! It's always cool to see Wolverine taking out bad guys, but there's something even cooler about seeing him taking out one of the good guys. Love the mad look in Logan's eyes as he delivers the killing blow. And check out the dead eyes in Gambit's face as he receives it. Love Wolvie's GRRROARRR sound effect that accompanies the blow. Gorgeous inkwork as always from Sale, I love his use of black, and how he uses the creases in Gambit's duster coat to echo the impact of the blow. The two inset scenes add a little extra smile to the splash. Tim Sale was a master of the craft and here in this one splash you can see why. Fantastic pick-up, congrats!
