Rock and Roll by Janet Hetherington

Done in Toronto, August 2002 by one of my very favorite reappearing convention guests, Janet Hetherington, this piece was inspired by the old Filmation cartoon from the seventies where the cartoon characters would be a band and perform a song at the end of the show (the Archies, Fat Albert, Sport Billy, the Brady Kids ect.) and with my obsession with Beyond the Valley of the Dolls that I was going through at the time. I thought it would be fun to see my four favorite comic characters - the Black Canary, Zatanna, Lilith Clay and Courtney Whitmore as a rock band. The results was this very fun piece
