DescriptionDrawn in Toronto, August 2001 by Montreal artist Yannick Paquette, this is not the first time I asked an artist to do this particular request. The request - I wanted Batgirl tied to a chair with Harley Quinn on her lap, and make it as G rated as you possibly can. The first artist I asked to do it was popular DC artist Ty Templeton. The result was terrible. So terrible I don't even know what happened to the piece. Thus, on the final day of the convention I went to the one man who I knew could deffinatly do the job - Yanick Paquette. Paquette looked at me in disbelief at first, shugged and made it happen. I remember at one point, as "Howard the Duck" artist Gabriel Morrissette looked on, Paquette uttered "I can't believe I'm drawing this." He put it together nicely though, creating one of my favorite pieces.I love the fact that Batgirl seems more annoyed with her predictment then upset. Fun stuff@Social/Sharing |
