Wonder Woman Day 2008: Mister Amazon 2008 by Ray Caspio

From Wonder Woman Day in Portland, Oregon 2008. I had an absolute blast there thanks to some great artists, Gail Simone, Andy Mangels, and lot of new friends. This was the piece that I wanted above all pieces in the entire lot, not only because of the beefcake (well, mostly because of the beefcake) but love the style and inks of the piece.

Here's what Ray Caspio, an artist who lives in the Midwest, said about this piece on his website www.raycaspio.com:

"This is my solo piece. Wonder Woman often falls prey to cheesecake-y depictions, so I thought I’d turn the tables and supply her with a bevy of beefcake boys - love interests of past and present: Andros (played by Dack Rambo on the Lynda Carter TV series), Steve Trevor, Beowulf, Tom Tresser/Nemesis, Trevor Barnes, and Hermes. Think of it as her Mr. Amazon 2008 contest."

I love that he even brought in a character from the 70s Lynda Carter TV show!!!
