Absolutely amazing. Too bad what's happening with his gallery. They really need to protect his work... there is nothing like it in the world. Treasure it always and thanks for sharing :)

One of the Most Iconic Kong images and among my favorite Frazettas. Can you leave this to me in your will or can I trade a body part for her, Doc?!

Gorgeous!  Someone needs to do a Book just comparing the different versions of the exact same Painting Frank obviously couldn't keep his hands off.

I met Frank and his lovely wife very early on when I started working in comics.  He saw me at his table a few times, and thought I was flirting with Ellie, until she told him I kept coming back to his table to meet him.  I told him my brother grew-up Flatbush and likely went to school with Williamson... then he put his arm around me and was the nicest guy... and good gravy, what a grip.

That story is hilarious. He looked like a very tough guy so it would have gone the wrong way for you in a fight. Of course that would have been an even funnier story. 'Artist beats artist. Frazetta fan beaten up in flirting error horror.'

Yea... it looked like that for about 47 seconds.  As my Mom would say, "He was built like a Brick Sh!t House."  I started sweating... His grip on my shoulders was pretty fuggin' tremendous...  I don't think I crapped my pants... but memories sometimes lie.

I got to do Improv with Robin Williams a couple of times.  I had just done a scene (at SF's Boarding House) with my ol' friend from High School, Mike Bossier (We were in a Band called "Dog Breath" which became "Dog Breath Annex"), and I was going back to sit in the audience (Long Story) and Robin was backstage.  He stopped me and asked where I preformed.  I told him in my Art Studio, and usually only to Steve Leialoha, Erik Larsen, Pete McDonnell and Chris Marrinannnnn.  He looked at me funny and said, "C'mon... let's do something."

Mike started introducing Robin, "And now, for your enjoyment, one of the greatest (blablabla)..." and Robin dragged me on stage with him.  He was as strong as Frank... sheesh...

The image was so magnificent the moment I saw it, and still is, but It would be NSFW to tell just exactly what that image of Dwan did to the 14-year-old me back then...
