DescriptionI finally got a Chiodo painting, and of the sexy Zealot to boot! What an awesome score! WHOO-HOO!!!!I can't believe how cool this piece is in person, at about 7 1/2 x 11 1/2, on super thick artboard, and edge to edge paints by the amazing Joe Chiodo. It's small but heavy, and very sharp looking in person. I know you hear it all the time, but this piece is so much more vibrant and clean in person and the scan does it absolutely no justice! This piece was used for the Wildstorm Gallery painted card set from Wildstorm in '95. This is card #129 from the subset (cards #127-137) only available in the Wildstorm Rising crossover books. This one was exclusive to Wildcats #20. A very cool and striking painting of one of my favorite Wildstorm ladies by a great artist. What's not to love! I hope to get more Wildstorm paintings by Joe down the line, but they aren't cheap, or easy to find. But I feel a whole new obsession within the addiction growing....a need....:-) Social/Sharing |

Congrats, man!! I loved the feeling when I finally had my Chiodo painting in my hands, too. Mine is from those trading cards, also!! Again, congrats!! I know how ya feel.

That's a gorgeous one! I always loved the art of Chiodo and this Wildstorm card subset was no exception. I'm still looking around to find my own pin-up painting by him...
