Quinn's father was a diplomat in Europe and as a teen or younger Larry spent his time contacting cartoonists . He regularly visited Herge and each time brought a book- this is a clipped fly from one of the books as I have the onl ydrawing on paper. I thin khe had about 9 or 10 books with drawings and inscriptions. I got the books from Quinn in the 1980s.  I owned all of them up but sold or traded them off i nthe 1990s- 2010- tht is the history of it . Best George

Thanks for the background George!  This one's actually still in the book- a french copy of Tintin in America.  I got it from Rob Stolzer back in... wow- 2000.

Yes Rob ended up with one I had so you now have full provenance on the art sort of critical these days on high end sketches.
