Description

This piece is a sentimental favorite of mine from NYCC '09 and here is why. I asked Mr Staton for these 2 characters and oh by did you see his eyes light up when I said Ch'p!! He loves the character and misses drawing him lol anyway I didnt pick up the art right away so it sat out on his table for most of a day. He told me later that the piece got so many comments and even prompted a few more Ch'p related sketch requests. I could see how happy and thrilled he was with the turn of events and it made me feel great in return to have been a part of it.

The GL Corp, with its wide span of characters, gave Joe a perfect outlet for his talents. I think it was one of the most underrated and creative periods on that venerable book to date. (Great sketch; loved the story.)

hahahha that is such a great story! Joe Staton totally ROCKS! Im in New Zealand and have the most spectacular picture of celsius from the New Doom Patrol by Mr Staton! LOVE IT! youre so lucky!
