I was the lucky recipient of this amazing piece of Daredevil art as the result of entering a contest on Chris Samnee's blog (check it out, you won't be disappointed: www.chrissamnee.com) where he asked for fans to name a theme week for his daily sketches. My theme suggestion, entitled "In-Samnee-acs" (Samnee is pronounced like "omni"), was one of the winning selections and featured artwork highlighting heroes whom predominately come out only after dark, leading, as the name suggests, to long sleepless nights. DD was the featured hero for Friday, so it was no surprise which piece from the week that I selected as my prize. Thanks, Chris; this is so much more than just a "sketch."

The use of black and white is almost Milleresque. Without a doubt my favorite piece in your gallery

Oh my god, are you serious? Samnee went a little grittier than he normally goes on this one, and I think the results are astounding!

In-Samnee-acs was a fun week in which Chris produced some of his best work! This Daredevil included! Congrats on winning!!

Congratulations Matthew on securing this stellar commission by Samnee!
As has already been said on here, Samnee's use of black and white is very much Frank Milleresque, and I ALWAYS love seeing an artist incorporate visually Daredevil's radar senses. Just a great piece which resides in a terrific shrine to Daredevil collection.
