Description

Hettinger animated on printed paper. "A Restless Dream" had 2 backgrounds printed on what looks to be a normal bond paper. In the case of "The Stolen Dream", he printed 28 different backgrounds on glassine paper- the film seems to have been registered partially against the clean background or more likely using an angle iron. In scanning the art for restoration I used the corner of the scanner as the point to register the art.

This is a printed background for the bird and water sequence. Hettinger also experimented with using rubber stamps to move objects around.

There are extra unused backgrounds for some sequences.

NOTE: There are unused printed backgrounds being offered on line as original drawings when they are just the printed backgrounds with no art- BEWARE- in some cases I have told dealers more than once that what they have are prints - A small number of printed backgrounds and a few drawings were not part of the original lot I got. These may turn up periodically -if you need something identified before buying it just email me.
