Description
This is the inked version of the "Crimson Vengeance" commission penciled by Geof Isherwood (also in this gallery). The masterful inking job shown here is my go-to guy for all things in, the incomparable Bob Almond. Bob had been itchin' to ink this one for sometime. This year, he finally got to scratch that itch.

I'd been wanting to do a commission featuring the Falcon, as well as one featuring Crimson Avenger, although not necessarily the two of them together. When I was trying to think of a foe for the Falcon, I couldn't help but think of Morgan, the mob boss who Falc often squared off with back in the 70s issues of CAPTAIN AMERICA AND THE FALCON. Morgan was one of those organized crime figures who the law knew was guilty of a lot of stuff, but could never pin anything on him. The perfect guy for someone like the Crimson Avenger to go after. So I came up with the idea of her doing just that, with the Falcon trying to intercede because, well, he'd realize that even a slimeball like Morgan was entitled to due process

Kudos to Geof Isherwood and Bob Almond on a superb piece.

Thanks for pulling the trigger on this one for me, Damon! I had fun inking Morgan in BP#16 & 17 and dealing with his continuity after he 'died' in the Punisher LS so this felt nostalgic for me, too. Bob Almond

I'll post a comment about this incredible artwork, as soon as I feel around and locate the eyeballs that just popped out of my head when I saw it. Stunning work by two of the great ones!

I was prepared not to like this piece because I loved the original pencils. However, Bob Almond knocked this one out of the park. Awesome inks!
