Emerald City Comic Con 2009

It was a pleasant surprise when I found out that Marat was at the ECCC this year, as I didn't see him on the site's guest list. He was sitting at Rob Liefeld's table doing sketches and was glad that I could meet him in person. As some of you may know, Marat did one of my first 'Spider-Wing' pieces ever, which you can find at:

We had a great conversation and I asked him if he would do a sketch for me. Since I already had a Spider-Man and Nightwing piece by him, I decided to go with a Batgirl (Babs Gordon) of course. He seemed pretty excited to do it, and that was confirmed when I saw the result. This is hardly a "con sketch". So not only did I get to meet one of the first contributors to my Spider-Wing gallery, but I got this great piece.
