Shade #19 cover

possibly the first painted piece of comic art i bought. it really impressed me because of the depth and textural qualities of the paint. i couldn't believe this kind of work of art was part of the comic book medium. STILL a FAVE piece in my collection. I bought it from my neighbor at a Great Eastern comic convention at NYC's Penta hotel! yes...this was a long time ago.
that neighbor was Scott Dunbier...formerly of Wildstorm, now at IDW. Scott
was my fave art dealer back then!
