DescriptionOK, so when I read the first few issues of AS B&R, I thought it had "jumped the shark" just like everyone else. Sure Jim Lee's art was beyond compare, but I really wanted a piece from a story I LIKED. This issuse was what changed that. First off, the whole ridiculous concept of painting yourself yellow to fight Green Lantern is so silver-age goofy that you can't help but laugh (just like Bats is while drinking his lemonaide). But what really sets it apart is this is the conversation that links AS B&R into Dark Knight continuity. Pretty cool. I hope they are able to finish this book strong. And we knew that no one could draw Bat-Man like Lee - but look at Hal and tell me that isn't perfection as well. (Thanks to Albert Moy for selling me the piece and I hope he doesn't mind me aping his scan for CAF)Social/Sharing |
