Renan 2 - contour study

This is the preliminary line art for the portrait of Renan. It's 9x11, just a hair smaller than the finished piece will be. This is just one of the early steps towards a finished piece. Here you can see me stripping the line art down to the bare essentials so I can analize the composition and, if I need to, make improvements. In future updates you'll see the minor changes to adjust for printing necessities. I'm still not certain if the finished piece will be color or black & white. We'll have to wait and see, depending on the level of detail and whatnot.
