As you all (or most) know I consider (like my buddy Eric Delos Santos) the year '87 as one of the best in Mike's career.

I say one of the best today, a few years ago I would have said it's definitively the best year...but but years of art collecting have proved me wrong and to my opinion '82 (like all the other early '80's ones) was also a very interesting year for Mike.

Check the few other '82 pinups I have, am I wrong or what? Rounders forms, lines both easy & complicated to draw, to me Mike already showed his B&W craftsmanship & huge art potential at the time.

There is something "out of the time" with those pinups, mix of old & modern look, mystical & in this case magical atmosphere.

A feast for the eyes I'm telling you!

These very early pen & inks by Mike are so cool. While he hadn't yet learned to manipulate his blacks as effectively as he did in later years, these are still so much fun to see! Congrats my friend. A fine haul of early Mignolas!
