Description
"Libellus Sanguinis" shed light on the Dark Ages of White Wolf's "Vampire: The Masquerade" RPG. One of the those vampire clans most interested in worldly power, the Tzimisce elders made new members undergo a rite of passage designed to remove human sentiments. The newly-bitten or "Embraced" were buried in a graveyard (this illustration) from which they must free themselves thru layers of soil, maggots and corpses. Those who succeed generally undergo profound emotional trauma and are prepared to assume their roles as undead predators. Those who don't are considered unfit and are left in their graves. (Bought from Michael Gaydos, 2009/05)
