Description

This is the first piece I ever got for the tribute book.

Josh and I had been planning for months to meet Norm Breyfogle at the Dallas Comic Con.

A mere two weeks after Josh passed away, I was in line with Norm, sometimes crying, sometimes strong enough to hold it together, telling him how Josh and I loved his Batman run. Norm was incredibly patient as I tried to control my emotions and express my simple concept.

Norm not only took my simple concept and gave it substance and meaning, he is the reason there even is a tribute book. If Norm had turned me down or hadn’t shown the compassion he did, I would have never had the courage to even ask another artist.

Norm did this sketch which hangs proudly in the center of our art collection and is tattooed on my left calf.
