Dr. Strange by Scott McDaniel

I absolutely love this piece of art!...I commissioned this Dr. Strange from the very nice Mr. Scott McDaniel via email back in early May. It arrived in the mail mid-June and I was completely blown away by how good it was. As luck would have it, it arrived three days before I left for Charlotte for Heroes Con '09. Karl Story used to ink McDaniel a good bit and agreed to lay down the inks for me (even saying it was "cover quality" work). He worked on it throughout the weekend and finished it up that Sunday afternoon. Checking back on the progress and talking to Karl each day was a lot of fun. I was glad he took his time as his line work really added a lot to the piece. With all the cool commissions I got that weekend, this is a real treat as I've never had a penciler do something and then take it to an inker.
Both McDaniel and Story were super-cool and dealing with each of them like this was a pleasure-thanks guys!
