Description

Originally commissioned by Roger Watt, the art director of Men Only, Club International in the 70s & 80s, to illustrate a story 'Love Triangle'.

An early piece from the heyday of British illustration when the adult magazines used the best illustrators, allowing them enormous creative freedom and indulgence. Commissions from these magazines were considered respectable and were much sort after by illustrators & agents alike and I did a good number from the later 1970s into the 1980s. As I list this item, I’ve no info on the exact issue but it was either for Men Only or Club international and may have published in the USA too.

This is a rare opportunity to secure an original from the Golden Age of illustration from men’s magazines.
