Description

For a limited time only, I'm putting up some of my cover art for the short-lived swamp monster comicbook Bog: Swamp Demon. (Note: any unsold Bog art will be removed from the gallery and will no longer be for sale as of January 1st, 2010.)

This cover graced Bog: Swamp Demon #3 (December 1996) and was published by Hall of Heroes. Bog was created by my friend Ryan Brown, best known for his work on TMNT and for creating Rockola, Wild West C.O.W.-Boys of Moo Mesa, etc.

This is my personal favorite of all the Bog covers I did for Ryan and Hall of Heroes. These were drawn during my Tyrant period, when I was at my peak drawing/inking skills, if I may say so myself.

The original is in perfect condition, rendered with brush, dry-brush, pen and ink with final touchup and rendering done with correctional white, which has yellowed not at all. It's a handsome 11" x 17" on 3-ply Bristol Board, framed at the top, bottom and right with white border tape (easily removed, if you wish to do that).

This can be yours for $1400.00 plus shipping.

I had a lot of fun doing these covers, and intend to do more with this character down the road. This is as close as you can get to owning an original Bissette Swamp Thing cover in 2009 without paying thousands of dollars!
