Description

This is the very first piece in my Beautiful Dreamer sketchbook. Dick Ayers inked Jack Kirby's pencils on numerous stories in the 1950s and 60s. So I thought it would be great to have Ayers draw one of Kirby's characters from the 70s. It was awesome to be able to begin the book with a contribution from a creator who had worked with Kirby. Dick did a fantastic job, and got my sketchbook off to a wonderful start.

What a great way to kick off a great book, Ben! Dick is one of the nicest guys around...as well as a walking history of the business! Nice.
