George Clark is known for three (or two, depending on how you count them) syndicated comics, Side Glances which began in 1929, The Neighbors and The Ripples, the last being the Sunday version of The Neighbors. It was common for strips to have a different version on Sundays back then. The Neighbors, ran from 1939 to 1971 and was a thoroughly domestic strip. This one shows a bit of the home front in the closing months of World War II.
