Description

I was a huge fan of the Power Pack comic book when I was a kid. I've always thought the Power Kids were a marvelous creation by Louise Simonson & June Brigman. Back in 2001, I was living in White Plains NY, and so were June & her husband Roy Richardson. I was able to meet up with them at the local Borders book store and lend June my sketch book for a while. When I got it back a week or two later, this wonderful illustration of Julie Power was in it. I always loved that rainbow trail look that Lightspeed has. Anyway, June is an amazing artist, and I was thrilled to be able to get this piece done.

I had to comment since I'm also a fan of the Pack. They actually printed a letter of mine in their first letter column. I loved the art and you have a great example of June's work.
