DescriptionMy original "Watchmen" moive review from 1 year ago: Ahhhh...it was OK. Thats about it. I pretty much agreed with what others have written in that it was not a comic book in which a movie could not be made, but should not be made. The opening montage was pretty good, but as most people have noted, it probably follow the comic TOO close. It would have helped for some of the parts to be played by more famous actors (Ozymandias for one). On the change in the ending, I actually though making Doctor Manhattan the suppoed villain instead of the Vaginal Squid (my new band name) both made more sense and was scarier (the devil you know, you know). I also watch it twice to get all the hidden easter eggs as well (did you notice when Rorschach exploded, his blood made a rorschach smile face in the snow?) I've got a copy of the full "directors cut" (which I've been trying to watch for the last two months) so hopefully, like a Grant Morrison comic series, it is better as a whole rather than a sum of its parts. And looking at the ol' doomsday clock (this piece of art was actually borrowed from me and displayed at the New York Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art during the Watchmen premiere last year), it looks like it time to end this issue of Page 23. For the next issue, we get into the old' DeLorean, fire up the flux capacitor, and head back to the Watchmen era of 1985 in our "Quest for Questprobe"!Social/Sharing |

The perfect answer to the question: "Why is Watchmen so important?"... Watchmen is so important, because everybody dies - just like in real life. This is one of the pages I would choose if I had a freebie for a page!
