Studio Pitch

Young Rockets is a film concept that takes 1950s hot rod and juvenile
delinquent films and adds a “past-future” twist to it. Created in 2008,
this project is currently in development for film. I’m a former surfer and
Steve is a lifetime surf culture and surf music fanatic, so we wanted to
give this film concept an early ’60s southern California flavor.

Using Frank Frazetta’s famous Don’t Smoke
comic strip ad for inspiration, Steve and I
collaborated on the roughs and I produced this
panoramic painting, which is currently making
its way into studio pitch rooms.
