Description

I wanted something original with the Super Pets but fellow CAF 'er Shannon Weathers has blazed the trail and remade some of the classic Adventure era covers. Shannon was kind enough to put me in touch with artist Val Semeiks. I liked his style and searching through some covers on www.coverbrowers.com I found a crazy 2 part story that fitted my RE-Legioned theme. Some substitutions were easy, Dawnstar replacing Hawkman , Quislet takes the place of the Atom and having Elongated Man there allowed me to sneak in Legion reservist Jimmy Olson. They just do not make covers like this anymore (and maybe there is a REASON for that !)

I love this piece. Great idea and execution! Val has hit another home run. I knew he was a great penciler-this piece shows that he is a great inker too. There are only two problems with this piece: 1) I didn't think of it and 2) I don't own it.
