DescriptionI loved all that Jim Lee did with his arm of Image back in the day, but his run on the 1st Wildcats series was especially memorable for me. The 3 issue run he did with Chris Claremont, which reteamed the X-Men creative staff, was a favorite storyline of mine. The issues focused on Lee's Zealot and Claremont's Huntsman. When I hit up Scott Williams this year, I was among the first and was able to cherry pick the nicer examples from the issue 12 story, which had some important moments for Zealot. I am amazed that I was able to get 3 such splashy examples. Just great, detailed pieces from Jim's early days of Image! Sweet!Social/Sharing |

Looks like Eric Callen and I have the same taste because I ADORE that first panel. It visually adds to the enigmatic character of the Huntsman.
This is one of the pages I think about when I think of grail pages. I loved this WildCATS story. I was gripped by Claremont and Lee working together again back in the day. Huntsman is one of my favorite Wildstorm (Claremont) creations. The page tells a story of caution and care between Huntsman and Zealot. I will be coming back here to stare at this wonderful page. Thank you so much for even sharing it here with us on CAF. Frikkin great.
