I have very fond memories of buying this page, as I had just started my first "real" job two weeks earlier. I had no budget, a low salary and a tidal wave of school loans looming in six months but I knew I was going to walk away with a Cerebus page.
I bought it at ACE, the Alternative Comics Expo, held in Manchester, VT in the summer of 1995. It was part of the Spirits of Independence tour and featured a couple of rooms packed with indy cartoonists.
Dave and Gerhard had a table covered with art, a hundred bucks a pop. I wish I had just handed them my credit card and said, "Leave me enough money to buy gas for the way home."
Instead I selected what I thought was the nicest single page. Can't go wrong with a Gerhard moon!
