Description

The Thing transforms to Ben Grimm. Ben was able to control his change while on the Beyonder's Battleworld following the original Secret Wars. For some reason he tried to do everything as a human but he would inevitably get into hot water and need to become his rocky alter-ago.

This was around the time I started reading comics regularly so it was no big deal for me that the She Hulk replaced him in the Fantastic Four for about a year. I liked the Thing's solo book more than the FF at the time.
