"Something Ic Waes" Color Photoprint Artist's Proof Edition

....this was another of Barry's/GbP's early works, that I missed somehow. Was only too aware of it, for 30 years, but never saw not only the B&W edition for sale, but never had a chance at one of the completely awesome 50 hand-colored versions.

Then, 3 years ago, this came across my "radar".

A signed, "AP" Photoprint of "Something Ic Waes"!!

I thought when this was described to me, it was a joke, a forgery, fake, etc.

So, once again, I pestered the extremely patient Alex Bialy, who works for Barry.

He assured me that it was in fact, genuine.

Turns out, Barry produced anywhere from 10 - 15 Signed "AP" Photoprints of the hand-colored version of "Something Ic Waes"!

I couldn't believe my luck, and purchased this immediately!

Never even have heard of another one, let alone seen one!

I still don't have a copy of the Hand-colored "Something Ic Waes", but this will do, until I do manage to find one!

"Something Ic Waes" S/N Hand-colored Edition: 50 (not sure if Barry did them all or not; have heard conflicting info on this!)
