Zombie Hulk by Arthur Suydam

The year was 2006, I was ripe young man of 23, attending my first ever out-of-state con, when I commissioned my very first piece in my new book. It had to be a good one. I wanted someone popular, but elusive. Something done with pencil and ink, without a marker in sight. Arthur Suydam was my man. Up until that point he was not at too many cons, and I think Marvel Zombies was on it's first series. I wasn't aware of his artistic history, and I didn't care, I wanted a zombie damnit. And what a zombie I got. Why I chose the Hulk, I'm to sure. Partly cause of my temperment, and past comparisons to the Hulk, partly I figured people'd be more inclined to ask for Wolvie or Spidey making mine rarer, and partly the Hulk is just fuckin cool. Zombies are scary, but how fuckin scary is a 8' tall 1 ton green zombie??

I paid $100 for this November 25th 2006 at the Mid-Ohio-Con. This was later published in Arthur's 2007 'Mostly Zombies' sketchbook.
