Description

Fred did the sketch of the Man of Steel, along with a self-portrait of himself, inside The Nearly Complete Essential Hembeck Archives Omnibus, a mammoth compilation of Fred's prolific, humorous strips on comic books from his thirty-plus years as a fan and a professional creator. I really enjoy Fred's work, so I'm glad I was finally able to purchase a copy of it.

By the way, I just realized that, even though I've been involved in the comic book art hobby since 1994, in all that time this is the very first sketch of Superman that I have ever gotten. So if you're out there, Fred, you helped contribute a milestone to my collection!
