This is part 2 of a re-Legioned story.. with John's help, we are re-telling "The Outcast Superheroes stories" from Adventure Comics Issue 350 and 351 over three covers. , He took an already classic image by Neal Adams and raised the bar. I got teary eyed when I saw the image of Krypto licking Superboy's hand to comfort him. The body language of Supergirl just screams sadness. It is just magnificent and I feel so lucky to have it in my collection.

I have always loved the cover that inspired this piece. Adding the sleeping Streaky and Supegirl makes it even better. Great idea and great execution.

This is really an emotionally poignant cover. I was affected too by Krypto giving comfort to Superboy. Man's best friend indeed. And I'm a big fan of John Watson as well.

This was one of my first foray's into the world of commissions, so it holds a very SPECIAL place in my heart.As a dog owner I asked John to draw Krypto that way
