Description

I was at Matthew Dow Smith's table when the artist of this piece came over. It was funny when Matthew and I both shouted "Michael Gaydos!" in unison - a few people craned their necks to see what the hubbub was all about. Anyway, Michael told me that he had done this painting specially for the show and told me to check it out at his dealer's (Paolo Belfiore of Cadence Comic Art) - which I did. The price, though, was too high for me. Two days later, after some struggle, I went back with a counter-offer. Paolo accepted, saying that Michael had told him to cut me a deal. So that's how this beauty ended up in my collection. Many thanks to Michael and Paolo!

You have a stunning Dream collection. This one is far and away my favorite though. What a treasure. Our own Dave Gutierrez is a huge fan of the Sandman series as well. He loves drawing the characters. Love your collection. Thanks for sharing it.
