Description

Jake was pretty imtimidated by most of the creators that we would meet, so I was hoping that his first experience meeting an artist and asking for a sketch would be a good one. Steve Rude was drawing at his booth and I broke the ice. Steve took over and started asking Jake all about his favorite characters and stories (part of it I think was a test to see if he really was a fan!), and by the time he was done, Jake felt like his heroes (the artists) really were appraochable and would be happy to talk to us "mere mortals".
It could NOT have been a better first experience, thanks Steve!
