Description

July 7, 1647 - Tommaso Aniello d'Amalfi, called Masaniello, begins the revolt against Spanish domination in Naples.

Giacinto Gaudenzi has painted many pages of this monumental opera (the history of Italy from the foundation of Rome till the Republican Constitution in 1946), ideated and written by the Italian journalist and writer Enzo Biagi.
