DescriptionCompare the art with the scan of the paperback itself up above!SIZE: 17 3/4 x 27 1/8 Oil on 1/8" Illustration Board This is the original painting published as the cover to the vintage paperback novel The Golden Trollop by Natalie Anderson Scott in 1963. This gorgeous painting is one of 4 that I own by top paperback cover illustrator Charles Binger, who began his illustration career as a studio movie poster artist in Hollywood. Once he entered the paperback novel market in the early 1950's, Binger had a nice career and worked regularly for many years. Though given the few hundred covers he produced during his career, I've only seen at most a few dozen of them and that is why I'm so fortunate to own four of them in my collection. Social/Sharing |
