      I've seen Chrissie's lovely covers for Vertigo's Cinderella comics so I was happy to set up a commission before Seattle's Emerald City ComiCon. Chrissie offered two ideas and we agreed to have her do both. Here we have one of the Laputan robots and our young heroes Pazu and Sheeta. I can tell Chrissie is a long-time Miyazaki fan because she still refers to this film by the original English title before it was shortened to Castle in the Sky. At the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, they screened the rescue scene as one of the two introductory clips before John Lasseter interviewed Hayao Miyazaki.
