Description

Tony Harris is the man! Tony's library of work is synonyous with many of my favorite visual experiences reading comic books, ranging from Dr. Strange: Flight of Bones to Ex Machina to Starman to JSA Liberty Files to Obergeist...the list goes on and on. The guy is a wizard, I tell ya. Anyway, I was really excited about getting to meet Mr. Harris at this year's Planet Comicon in Kansas City, as I wanted to pick his brain a bit and commission an original DD piece from him, which, in my estimation, would be absolutely surreal. Unfortunately, life intervened, and I was unable to attend the convention. Amidst my downtrodden woes, my buddy and Global Convention Alliance member, Doctor Fantastic, took up the torch and carried my request to the ear of Sir Tony, and this (stunning) portrayal of DD is the result. It matches perfectly with the image I had in my mind's eye of what Tony's DD would/should look like, and I can't thank Doc F enough for helping make this little wish come true. This marks only the second time that Tony has ever drawn ol' hornhead, the first being a small image of DD in a mosaic piece he did for the cover of Marvel Knights Millenial Visions several years ago. I'm thrilled to be the one to bring him back to the light :).
