This is WHY I had to OWN IT!!!) specifically for me finally deciding to do it. why is it drivinr me nuts? “ This is a wrap around cover for the soft cover version of the ten year collection…does that make it worth more than a regular issues cover …i don’t know.. yes, yes, i know what you are thinking …i’d rather not consider what it would be worth if i DID die thank you very much. >:( Approx 18x12" Painstakingly done in brush and ink, by the writer and illustrator of Arsenic Lullaby himself Douglas Paszkiewicz. This series has been nominated for the Harvey Award, the Eisner Award and the Comic-Dom Award (Greece) This is an amazing peice of work and a crown jewel for collectors and readers of Arsenic Lullaby. It features nearly every character of any importance in that series. And, as you can see by the pics, each and every one was drawn with care and percision no matter how small. Between being a cover...a cover for a collection, a cover including MANY different characters from this groundbreaking series, and a flat out cool composition and picture...if this isn't making your mouth water than you aren't an Arsenic Lulllaby fan. No paste overs and just a hint of white out, this is as clean a pice of Arsenic Lullaby Original art done by Douglas gets! Edgar the census agent the clot babies zombie fetuses Voodoo Joe the tooth fairy The midget Joe beat to death Hitler (what's the world record for drawing the tiniest Shwastika?) an Alein Centaur KKK members G.I. paratroopers Joe's zombie cheerleader Old man hutchenson The Girl Scout the Snowman Dr.Berg Liquid Sam Baron Von Donut Lobi Sanat Claus Starvo Ben Gary Lobi's Dad Diddi The Kid Joe cut the arms off of hell, even the logo for the U.S.D.T.N.Y.T. is on the bottle of booze this cover is a crown jewel in Arsenic Lullaby original art. And believe me it looks even better up close. Took me almost a week from thumbnail to final finished peice (it took a couple of tries. %#@* sh%tty Ink) The reserve will be 300.00 which is one the low end of what this thing is owrth. maybe you get a deal, maybe you get into a dogfight with some other loyal, ferocious Arsenic Lullaby fan who wants just as bad or maybe worse. And whoever wins will have a hellova page. the biggest i've ever done, the most characters ever, some of the best brushwork possible, a cover to a 10 year collection blah blah blah ...aside from the nuts and bolts...it sure looks cool don't it?!. This is fantastic Earl! I've been a fan of this book since I pulled a trade out of a cheap con box years ago. I just met Doug at last year's Baltimore Con. Great guy and very generous, sketching both the interior of the the Devil's Decade and a cover idea I had for Starvo meets Baron Von Donut. Love to see an awesome cover by a very talented artist!
