Stan Lee loves Big Macs!

Update 11-12-18: Stan passed away today.

I took this photo in the back room while Stan was taking a break from a big signing. There were a few 100 people lined up and down the walkway of this strip mall. After a few hours He needed a break for lunch. At one point I had some time alone with Stan. I had him sign my Kirby Silver Surfer graphic novel splash ( see the story here: https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=396211 )

Since we were talking about Jack, Stan casually tossed off: “Jack wasn't a great artist. John Buscema was a great artist" For a second I was shocked but I immediately responded, “Yeah I think I know what you mean. John may have been a better ARTIST, I air quoted, but Jack was a better COMIC BOOK artist" This actually made STAN stop in mid french fry, tweak his head a little bit and apparently start thinking about it. The only verbal response I got was "...hmmm..." and then my buddy came in and it was time for Stan to go back to work.
