Description

Two separate panels, clearly from the same strip, resulting from the cutting and pasting of the original strips as comic-book pages. Dating from sometime during WWII, when Joe Palooka enlisted (first comic-strip character to do so). About the first one, all I have to say is: eat your heart out, Mr. Lichtenstein!

(BTW, I wrote "Ham Fisher" as the artist, but they were drawn by whichever one of his "assistants" was ghosting the strip at the time.)
