At first, I was so upset when Severin's incredible run on the Losers was interrupted in mid-story that I couldn't appreciate that Kirby was doing some of his best and most personal work in Our Fighting Forces.

I'm not into Kirby like so many are but feel his best storytelling was on the Losers run. These were his darkest stories that must have been influenced by his time in the war.
