DescriptionMichael Finn surprised me this year by showing up with a Zeck piece Spencer had told me about years ago, but wasn't ready to sell at the time. It was one of four vintage Edition Deese Captain America portfolio plates that never got published. Why, I'll never know as they were some of the best Zeck Cap images ever produced! I own two of the others (Cap/Red Skull and Cap/Avengers). If anyone knows where the missing one is (I believe it is simply of Cap by himself), please give me a shout. Mike Zeck published the one of the Cap/Red Skull in his first sketchbook. Hopefully, if Mike ever gets to producing a second Zeck sketchbook, we can include it in there!Social/Sharing |
