This one's got a fun story (at least for me).

The eBay seller was asking $55 (w/shipping) for this card, which a quick search proves to be right in line with a lot of other official sketch cards by Hanie Mohd. Still, that was more than I had paid for my Josh Howard commission. Since the seller also had a "Best Offer" on it, I offered $30.

I didn't hear back, so eventually I wrote to ask why. The seller made it clear he hadn't taken my offer seriously because it was so low I obviously wasn't going to pay what it was worth. Well, I swallowed my indignation and made it clear I *could* pay more, I just believe in haggling when "Best Offers" are on the table.

Anyway, he ultimately stated that he'd go as low as $45 *if* I did the sale outside of eBay. Now, I know my own mind. If he had said $45 *through* eBay, I'd have jumped. But *outside*? After thinking it over, I declined. But I kept watching that card...

Sure enough, the weeks rolled past with no one buying it. I waited...and waited...and waited for the inevitable.

Finally, last Sunday, it showed up at 40% off. $32.99. Jumped at it.

Now, to my mind, that's still a lot of money for a small piece of cardboard with ink on it. But I *love* this image.

And I'll tell ya. I'd have been vexed if anyone else had gotten it.
