"This piece is an intro-page vignette for the short story 'Little Red' by Jane Yolen & Adam Stemple, which appears in the anthology Firebirds Soaring, edited by Sharyn November; Viking/ Firebird, 2008. It's one of (I think) 20 vignettes that I made for the book. This particular piece features the title character (who abuse has led to psychotic delusions about wolves), she reminded me quite a lot of Delirium. The technique is pen & ink over a liquid wash concocted from powdered graphite; it's tricky to work with & smudges easily."

You do know that this is 1) not really Delirium and 2) not really a commission. This is a published image from one of the novels that Mike Dringenberg worked on. I can't remember the title off the top of my head, but I can guarantee that this is not Delirium, nor is it Sandman related. Sorry.

On the back it says Delirium and is signed by Dringenberg ..so I assumed it was a Delirium. But thanks for the info!

I am working on trying to figure out the name of the book it was published in. I will get that to you as soon as possible. Plus, just because someone wrote Delirium on the back doesn't mean that Mike wrote it.
