Description
According to his art rep, Scott Kress at Catskill Comics, Steve was initially hesitant to take on this assignment, thinking that drawing Mary Marvel might be a little boring. As it turned out, he had a surprising amount of fun drawing this classic-style pinup. Mannion's Mary is as sweet and angelic as you'd expect, but with just the barest hint of mischief.

Michael, you really are a Mary Marvel fan extraordinaire! I think this is also my favorite piece of the Shazam girl in your collection -- as they might have said in the '40's, she's got pep, pizzazz, and moxie. (or is "moxie" a '50's term?)
